Constipation:

I have had issues with regularity since childhood. My doctor advised I stop taking senna containing products (ie. tea and pills), which I confessed to her I have been taking for years. It turns out senna is indicated for treatment of short-term constipation only. It works by irritating the lining of the bowel, which causes a laxative effect. Long-term use of senna can actually cause the bowels to stop functioning normally and may even cause dependence on laxatives.*

Rather, she told me to include psyllium fibre in my diet. She recommended either All-Bran Cereal or Metamucil. Considering both have calories, I'd rather eat my fibre than drink it, so I opted for All Bran Cereal.

Easy Recipe:

Mix these ingredients together and then pack them firmly into a small dish lined with plastic wrap (for ease of removal).

Place in the fridge for a couple of hours to set it. If you are impatient, place it in the freezer for 20-30 minutes. Then cut and serve!

The entire recipe (including the chocolate chips) is:

  • calories 145, fat 4g, saturated fat 1g, cholesterol 0mg, sodium 311.9mg, carbohydrates: 30.3g, fiber 12.3g, net carbs: 18g, sugars: 11.7g, protein 7.3g

Final Thoughts:

Here is my progress photo, which was taken after I included All Bran into my diet for the week. Clearly everything is ok! Plus I'm more regular and happier! At the end of the day, you have to make dietary choices that work for your body and sanity. It's not a big deal for me to add All Bran Cereal to my diet because I can factor it into my daily macros and calories, thanks to my Fat Loss Fast System.

You are just as beautiful in person but more importantly not just on the outside but on the inside. It is obvious that you do have a heart for fitness and for helping others achieve their goals.
