Grab Your Baby!
This is a 20-minute HIIT home workout for mom's trying to lose the baby weight. No equipment required, except for your baby! If you don't have a baby, don't panic. Just use a medicine ball or dumbbells. Let me tell you, a squirming 20-pound baby is much more challenging to lift than a medicine ball! I struggled and sweated!
This home workout is guest hosted by my dear friend since high school, Trisha Dosaj and starring her adorably baby girl, Sophia!
ps. It's pretty obvious Trisha and I are friends when you watch this video. Same sense of humour? I'd say so!
Equipment Required:
- A Gymboss Interval Timer
- A laptop, smart phone, or tablet (to play this workout video)
- Shock-absorbing surface, such as interlocking floor mats.
- A Baby! (If you don't have a baby, then use a medicine ball). No excuses!
Always a Must!
- Read my workout rules before you begin!
Drink your BCAAs!
Stay hydrated with water.
Video Workout:
Set your gymboss timer for: 40 seconds WORK, 10 seconds REST (or use the timer from tabatatimer.com). This circuit consists of 6 different exercises. Perform the circuit 4 times, which takes ~20 minutes.
NOTE: If 10 seconds is not enough time to transition from exercise to exercise with your baby, then please set your timers for 20 seconds (or more) of rest. Your baby's safety is most important. Use your judgement.
- Baby Shoulder Press and Punch
- Baby Walking Lunges
- Baby Zerbert Push-Ups
- Baby Butt Bridges
- Baby Boats
- Baby Jump Squats (Place your baby in a Jumperoo)
Do the workout with me. Just click on the video.
Thank You Trisha!
Trisha, I had so much fun with you and Sophia. I will always remember this day ... and we even have the video to help jog our memories when we are in our golden years! I look forward to many more sessions with just the "3 of us girls".
